Black Magic® "The Tough Stuff"

Black Magic®  is a coal slag product that is above the rest in the sandblasting industry. 

We process the byproduct of lignite coal fired electrical generation plants to produce a sandblasting abrasive that is unmatched in appearance, quality and performance.

Our coal slag product is widely used for sandblasting, construction, roofing granule and golf course needs.

Black Magic® = Green Magic As a recycled coal combustion by-product, Black Magic® truly is a "green" product. In addition, the resulting material is an inert abrasive and conforms to environmental standards. Our abrasive products are low dusting and have low free silica content.

Dakota Gold™ Silica Sand

Dakota Gold™ silica sand is mined south of Elgin, ND and processed at our Elgin plant. The sand meets and exceeds USGA specifications. The product can also be blended with Dakota Peat, the highest quality organic in the world.

The golden sand color provides a natural appearance that appeals to the golf industry. Dakota Gold™ sand is made up of sub round shaped silica sand that is always quarried from the same source to ensure consistency and performance.

Other popular uses include water filtration, well pack, and geothermal applications.
